🌿 Meet Sandra ~ Your Family Tree Researcher

Hi, I’m Sandra, and I began researching my own family tree back in 2007!

What started as a personal journey to uncover the cause of death on my paternal line, due to an inherited medical condition, soon grew into a lifelong passion for genealogy.

Over the years, I’ve traced my ancestors as far back as the 1600s and connected with relatives from around the world. Each month, I continue exploring newly added records across multiple genealogy platforms, always searching for new pieces of the puzzle that bring family stories to life.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping others discover their roots. I’ve had the privilege of assisting a lady who was adopted as a baby in 1964 in the UK to trace her biological family and connect with her first cousins. I also experienced an incredible DNA discovery within my own family,  a match appeared as my first cousin, once removed, on my maternal side. After several reviews of my family tree, I asked another family member to take a DNA test to help narrow down the connection. To my surprise, it revealed that the two were actually half-siblings! Moments like these are what make genealogy so fulfilling, connecting families and uncovering the stories that shape who we are.

In 2019, I was invited by the Manager at Southlands Shopping Centre in Perth, Western Australia, to run a three-day workshop introducing people to family history research, guiding them through what information to gather and how to get started. The workshops were a great success and sparked a lot of community interest!

To deepen my knowledge, I completed the “Genealogy: Researching Your Family Tree” online course with the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. While my main focus is on UK-based research, I also conduct research internationally, as family trees often extend far beyond one country.

Every project I take on is approached with dedication, curiosity, and care. My goal is to help you uncover your unique family story, preserving it for future generations to cherish and continue.
