At Sandra’s Genealogy Services, all research work and related services are conducted with the utmost care, accuracy, and professionalism. Each project involves significant time, effort, and access to paid databases and records.

Because of the nature of genealogical research, where results can vary depending on the availability and accuracy of historical records, all payments made are non-refundable once research has commenced.

Policy Details

1. No Guarantee Findings

Genealogical research results depend on the quality, accessibility, and existence of public and private records. While every effort is made to locate and verify accurate information, specific discoveries (such as identifying ancestors, birth or marriage records, or DNA connections) cannot be guaranteed.

2. Non-Refundable Fees

All fees paid for research, consultations, and reports are non-refundable, whether paid in full or as a deposit.
Once work has begun, including preliminary research or communication regarding your project, payments are considered final.

3. Amendments and Adjustments

If you wish to make changes to your research scope or focus, these can usually be accommodated through a mutually agreed adjustment of time or budget rather than a refund.

4. Cancellation Before Work
Begins

If a cancellation request is received before any research or consultation has commenced, a refund may be considered at Sandra’s discretion, minus any administrative or processing fees.

5. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information prior to the start of research. Errors or omissions in the information provided may impact the outcome and cannot be used as grounds for a refund.

6. Digital Deliverables

Reports, charts, and family tree files (GEDCOM, PDF, or Word formats) are delivered electronically. Once files are sent, they are considered delivered and final.
